Long Time No See

Flower from family home in Florida  I haven't been maintaining my daily writing practice.  An immeasurable number of experiences -- trials, error, successes and failures -- have come to pass in my life. My current endeavor is to be a luthier to build and repair violin family instruments. It's no walk in the park. Not easier than engineering, but certainly no harder. It's all work.  And I'm starting to learn, I don't enjoy work. But work is meritorious. It's a blessing. And I feel like something is wrong with me for not liking it or not having a good track record. I want to improve my relationship with work and build skills, but I struggle so much with discipline and motivation.  The thing about music is this: it's the only journey of mine where discipline speaks for itself.  The thing about engineering is this: I love math and I love learning what it is I don't know about the world and how it works.
